Possibly the biggest event of the year! The Annual Rossland Winter Carnival is packed with community and family-oriented activities and events throughout this historical weekend, with lots of reasons and ways to celebrate! From ice sculptures and ice bars, live music, food vendors, fire dancers and parades, tobogganing, bobsled races, RED Mountain's "The Game" Rail Jam, and more, this is seriously a weekend to remember.

The best young freeriders in North America are coming back to RED for the Canadian Open Freeride Championships! Prepare to be amazed by these young shredders as you take a ride up Motherlode Chair - one of the best spectator events at RED. New to this year’s competition is a Junior Snowboard division!

The Canadian Open Freeride Championships return to RED for another year of insanity. Some of the top freeriding in North America will be on full display for 2 days as the athletes compete for a coveted spot on the Freeride World Tour. Backcountry Awareness Day is BACK after a few year hiatus! Join members from Rossland Search and Rescue to learn how to prepare for the backcountry and practice key safety skills for the wilderness. Be sure to stop by the Search and Rescue tent beside the Base Lodge for some hot chocolate, tasty snacks and great prizes!

The cat came back, the very next year! Strap into your bindings and prepare yourself for some of the jankiest banked slalom racing you’ve ever seen. A 2 day thrill ride for all!

You thought we were done with ski racing for the year? Heck no! We just saved the best for last. The next generation of ski racers will compete for a Provincial title right here on the Face of RED. Prepare to have your toque blown off, these kids have a serious need for speed.

What’s the only thing better than shredding RED during the day? Hot laps at night! New for the 24/25 season, the T-Bar and Magic Carpet will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night starting December 27th. And if you’re craving a beer, have no fear! Rafters will be open for bevvies and grub to fuel your fun.
