Nearly sixteen months ago, RED Mountain launched an historic initiative for ski hills to raise capital through crowdfunding, offering ownership in the storied Canadian ski resort to investors for starting at $1000. Starting Monday, August 14th, Canadians can make good on their pledges and walk away actually owning a piece of one of North America’s most storied ski resorts.

RED Mountain will be a busy place starting this September with crews and equipment continuing to work on the Hotel construction, the second phase of Snow Making to the top of Red Mountain, and the Grey Mountain Chairlift. In addition, road construction is in process between Granite and Grey and on the south side of Mount Kirkup as well as run brushing and clearing, lift maintenance and on mountain construction.

As of Tuesday September 13th, I am pleased to announce the owner and developer of The Josie Hotel, William Cole Company, has completed all necessary financing and the Hotel opening is on track for a Winter 2017/2018 opening! We couldn’t be more excited.
