December 13, 2024 Update
Exciting update – Grey Mountain has been added to the list for Saturday morning! This will mark a full resort opening for the season! Shred on!
The schedule for the RED Mountain Express Free Ski Bus is also now available.
Our retail store, Piste Off Supply Co, will be open daily from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Go check out their brand-new space on the first floor of The Crescent for a chance to win a pair of SMITH Goggles!
December 12, 2024 Update
It’s almost time… With a solid 102cm alpine base and snow in the forecast, we’re stoked to announce that Topping, Motherlode, and Paradise chairs will officially open for the season this Saturday, December 14th. Patrol is still working diligently to prep the opening of Grey Mountain and we’ll provide updates on its status when we have them.
Facilities
Rafters will continue to be open until 6pm through this weekend, with Thur-Sat late service starting on December 27th. No Shower Happy Hour continues 2-3pm every day!
Regular operating hours kick in for all facilities on December 14th with the exception of The Constella Clubhouse, which will open on December 27th. (with a brand new look! stay tuned!)
RED Mountain Express Free Ski Bus
Our free ski bus kicks off Saturday morning for the season, operating 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm. The evening schedule will begin on Thursday, Dec 19. Click here for the shuttle schedule.

Updated opening day: December 7th
December 6, 2024 Update
The wait is almost over… RED is opening TOMORROW! So what lifts are open? What time? I need my skis tuned! Will there be food? (Oh gosh please let there be food!)
Relax. We asked the RED team: What do you need to know for opening day?
Details for December 7–13:
- Lifts: Red Chair, Silverlode Chair, the T-bar and the carpet will be spinning 9am to 3pm.
- Terrain Park is open with 5 small and 3 M/L features.
- Lift Tickets will be discounted at $99 for Adults (and like-discounts for our other age categories), available online or at the window. Advance-purchase discounts, Half-day, and Silverlode/T-bar tickets will begin Dec 14th.
- Guest Services will be open from 8:15am – 4pm
- Sourdough will be open 8am – 4pm (weekend) and 8am –2pm (weekday)
- Rafters will be open 11am – 6pm (weekend) and 2pm –6pm (weekday)
- Service Shop will be open from 8am – 4:30pm
- Snow School, Rentals, and Piste Off will remain closed until Dec. 14th
- Topping Creek lot is closed until Dec. 14th.
- Free Shuttle Bus will start running Dec. 14th. Schedule coming soon.
Patrol would like to remind everyone that early season conditions exist and the upper mountain remains closed as they continue to work up there. Please ski and ride with care!

November 27, 2024 Super Rad Update!
You asked, we answered—we’re opening early! With a whopping 190 cm of November snowfall and a 128 cm base, how could we not? We’ll be kicking off the 24-25 season early on Saturday, December 7th!
Red Chair, Silverlode, T-Bar, and the Magic Carpet, will all be spinning from 9 AM to 3 PM starting on the 7th while our operations and patrol teams continue to work hard prepping the rest of the mountain.
Our goal is to have Motherlode, Paradise, Topping, and hopefully Grey open by December 14th. In the meantime, show some love to our crew—they’re putting in the work to make this early start happen!
The countdown is on — keep doing your snow dances and we’ll see you on December 7th for some #REDRadicalWellness!
November 26, 2024 Update
As we prepare for the launch of our winter season, we want to remind everyone that the resort is currently closed to the public. This includes all mountain activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, tobogganing, etc.
Our team is hard at work with heavy machinery in operation across the mountain. To ensure everyone’s safety and to keep preparations on track, it is absolutely critical that this closure is respected.

November 6, 2024 Update
Boom! RED and Rossland just went full snow-globe, and it’s not slowing down. We got buried under 52 cm of fresh powder earlier this week, and guess what? More is on the way this weekend!
Feast your hungry eyes and salivating glands on the epic shots we’ve snagged to get your snow-loving heart racing. Forecasts and predictions are saying shredding in BC is looking like the real deal this year, and we’re liking the start.
October 23, 2024 Update
Winter is fast approaching! It’s time to start those pre-season workouts and get those legs ready for those steep and deep powder days!
